Maintainability feels like the Holy Grail for software developers. We all want it, but we never get it. Why is maintainable software so elusive? I think it’s because we’re usually not doing a good job of selling it.

Why is maintainability so important for us but apparently not for product managers and other crafts? What does “maintainability” even mean for us and for others? And how do we get good at selling it to people that are not engineers? This talk will provide you with some ammunition for your next argument on why you need to spend this extra time on refactoring (or why you shouldn’t)!
